These terms apply whenever you buy, download, activate or use the Smart Loyalty plugin, or use this website or the demo store. By doing any of those things, you agree to them. If you’re accepting on behalf of a company, you’re confirming you have the authority to do so.
A paid licence gets you: the current release of the plugin, one year of updates, one year of support, and the right to activate it on the number of sites your plan allows. It is not a transfer of copyright, and it is not a subscription that stops the plugin working when it lapses — see Licence plans and limits.
The plugin’s code is licensed under the GPL (GNU General Public License), version 2 or later, as its own file headers state. That means the code itself is, and always will be, free to copy, modify and redistribute — that’s how every WordPress plugin sold commercially works, including this one. What you pay for isn’t exclusive rights to the code; it’s a convenient, ready-built download, a year of updates delivered straight to your WordPress admin, and a year of support from us. Nothing in these terms restricts the rights the GPL already gives you over the code.
Plans are priced and limited by number of active websites, shown on our Pricing page. If your licence lapses without renewal, the plugin keeps working exactly as it did, with the data you already have — you just stop receiving updates and support until you renew. Moving a licence to a different site is free: deactivate it on the old site under Loyalty › Licence first, then activate it on the new one.
You’re responsible for keeping your licence key confidential and for all activity under it. Prices are shown in USD and may change for future purchases or renewals, but not for a licence you’ve already paid for during its current term. Renewals, where enabled, can be cancelled at any time before the next billing date.
You may not: share or resell your licence key outside your own plan’s site limit; use our support channel for a copy of the plugin you didn’t obtain through us or an authorised marketplace; attempt to disrupt, scrape at scale, or attack this site or the demo store; or use the demo store to submit real payment details or someone else’s personal data.
The Smart Loyalty name and logo, and the content of this website (text, design, screenshots), belong to us and may not be used to imply you’re us or that your product is affiliated with us, without permission. This is separate from the GPL licence on the plugin’s code, described above.
If you buy through Codester, WPBay, AppSumo or another marketplace, that marketplace’s own terms govern the purchase, refunds and support response times, in addition to these terms. Exchanging a marketplace purchase or redemption code for a licence key on this site brings that licence under these terms going forward.
The demo store is provided so you can try the plugin as a customer would. No real payments are taken, orders are never fulfilled, and demo data (accounts, orders, points, vouchers) may be reset or removed at any time without notice. Don’t rely on it to store anything you need to keep.
The plugin is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don’t promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will meet every requirement of your specific store, theme or hosting setup.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the plugin or this site is limited to the amount you paid us for the licence in question in the 12 months before the claim. We’re not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost sales.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited under the law that applies to you, such as liability for gross negligence or a right that consumer-protection law doesn’t let us waive.
We may suspend or terminate a licence that breaches Acceptable use, after giving you a reasonable chance to fix the problem where practical. You can stop using the plugin and request deletion of your account data at any time.
These terms are governed by the laws of [add the country or state whose law should govern these terms, and where disputes will be handled], without affecting any right that the mandatory consumer-protection law of your own country gives you and can’t be waived by contract.
We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top of the page changes when we do. Continuing to use the plugin or this site after a change means you accept the update.
